Year 5 Jodrell Bank School Trip
Class: Class 11 (Year 5) Year: 2019-2020
On Thursday, Year 5 visited Jodrell Bank Observatory for the day. Once the early morning fog had eventually lifted, we were all amazed at the size of the Lovell Telescope and could not wait to find out as much as we could about Earth and Space. We took part in two workshops during the day; the first being an exploration of the night sky inside an inflatable planetarium and the second where we were given the mission of safely landing our ‘cargo’ on Mars. Luckily, a few eggs survived the trip. During the day, the children behaved in an outstanding manner at all times and were definitely excellent ambassadors for the school. Many thanks to Mr Boardman and our parent helpers for joining us on the trip and to the Friends Association for funding the cost of the coach. It really was an enjoyable day.
